
The story of Wan Fah
Wan
Fah Boat is a Thai northern style boat. It’s belong
to the family who do the business of boat-building
“Mr.Pichet Therdkiatmongkhon”. For the first two
years he has two boats with holding 40 passengers
each that are not sufficient to the demand of the
customers then Wan Fah boat is built. It was designed
by professor Surapol the specialist from the Fine
Arts Department. Wan Fah boat was built in 1984
and opened for service in early 1987.The dimensions
are width 5.60m. length 31m. depth 1.36m. it’s can
hold 120 passengers.
After the success on the business Mr.Pichet therdkiatmongkhon
built Thai style restaurant on the bank of Chao
Phraya River at Ratchawong landing which is an old
Chinese quarters to receive tourist groups. It was
opened on the 4th August 1977 and service Thai Chinese
International Food with are well known until now.

Wan Fah Boat Restaurant
Thailand or Siam as it was known then acquired
the name “Venice of the East” because of it’s charming
rivers and waterways. Today, many of these waterways
are still being the Chao Phaya River, known as the
“River of Kings”
Today, many locals and tourists love to cruise
along this mighty river to enjoy the coolness and
serenity of the waterways. They see along the river
bank the fascinating sights of splendid palaces,
glittering temples, simple Thai house, and the charming
Siamese way of life, which has been retained through
the centuries.
By night, the river becomes the setting of romantic
dinner cruise that attract tourists who would like
to witness the oriental river scenes against the
backdrop of glittering night lights. Most cruise
provide Thai and international cuisine. Thai music
and classical dances. One of them is “Wan Fah” a
luxurious Thai style boat restaurant that rather
said that Wan Fah is the first Thai – Style boat
restaurant on the Chao Phaya River nearly 16 years.
